Today I’m sharing some of the best Christian Homeschool Curriculums for your family.

There are a couple of key things I look for when it comes to Christian curriculum.

I prefer a biblical worldview, mission-focused and scripture-focused. That doesn’t mean your math curriculum has to be super Christian, but it will influence areas like history and science.

Some companies are really doing a wonderful job at creating Christian homeschool curriculums and I’m excited to share them with you.

Top Christian Homeschool Curriculums

There are many Christian homeschool curriculums so I’m just picking my top favorite to share with you.

My Father’s World

My first choice is always My Father’s World. We have done many units of this family-style curriculum and it never disappoints.

The curriculum is very mission and geography focused which left my children with a love of the world, maps, and different cultures.

It’s a solidly biblical curriculum that incorporates scripture, prayer, and the heart of the Father into your school day.

I adore their book choices and we have made priceless memories with their read a louds.

My Father’s World is academically rigorous, well-organized, and full of God’s love for people. This curriculum really focuses biblically on God’s love for the world, heart values, and helping those who can’t help themselves.

The packages or levels may seem pricy but they cover multiple grades and ages plus you get beautiful literature books!

Masterbooks

Masterbooks curriculum has a slightly different bent than My Father’s World. It focuses biblically more on apologetics or defending the gospel.

The educational material is rigorous and sound and there are plenty of scriptures built into the materials.

Their science is based on a young earth perspective and they take the Bible very literally which I appreciate.

Overall, Masterbooks curriculum is a great choice for families wanting to defend their faith.

They have materials for preschool through graduation but the focus is more on elementary ages at the moment.

I’ve used many of their materials with success and feel good about recommending all they have to offer.

This curriculum has always been very affordable for families.

The Good and The Beautiful

There’s been a bit of controversy about The Good and The Beautiful since the creator is Mormon.

I have used the curriculum and I don’t find any Mormon teaching in any of the curriculum myself.

All scripture is King James verson and there is a heavy focus on character.

Overall, its a stunningly beautiful, wholesome, and academically very sound.

The Good and The Beautiful has quite a few completely free levels ready to download so it’s easy to get a good look at exactly what your getting.

I love how the science and history curriculum is done family style so multiple ages can learn together.

I have nothing negative to say about The Good and the Beautiful and think it’s a good choice for many homeschool families.

Apologia

Apologia is well known for its biblical science curriculums for all ages but they do have some other subjects as well.

The science curriculum is very biblical based, young Earth, and does explain evolution vs. Genesis. It has an apologetic feel similar to Masterbooks.

A very rigorous curriculum that’s pretty open and go, we’ve used many of their science courses but I am not familiar with the language arts.

Overall, Apologia is a strong Christian Homeschool curriculum I’d recommend to any family.

Notgrass History

These biblically based history programs are a gem. Notgrass incorporates literature, Bible, and some language arts into their history programs.

They are open and go, easy to run, and you can combine ages for most of their materials.

I love how the books have bright colors and easy-to-read text. The literature packages that go with the levels are top-notch.

This curriculum isn’t too heavy with scripture, it is usable for a secular family if they wanted to skip some Bible sections.

Overall, we love Notgrass and I can’t recommend them enough.

Abeka

Originally built for Christian schools, Abeka has stood the test of time as a homeschool curriculum as well.

With a heavy Christian focus, Abeka brings a solid, very rigorous education similar to what you would find in a school setting with textbooks and workbooks.

This isn’t built like a unit study or family style, it’s very grade leveled and can’t be shared easily.

If you are looking for a Christian curriculum similar to “school at home” learning style then Abeka might be a good choice for you.

The grade-level packages contain a lot of extra stuff that increases the price a bit.

Bob Jones Curriculum

A very similar style to Abeka, Bob Jones Curriculum was built for a Christian school and then adapted for homeschool use.

I do like the looks of their online video and textbook subjects for high schoolers.

This curriculum is taught in expensive private Christian schools and will fit the needs of any homeschooled family looking for a solid education.

Bob Jones’s curriculum isn’t family style and you need to purchase the appropriate grade level. It leans on the pricier end of homeschool curriculum.

Alpha Omega Publications

Alpha Omega or AOP has many Christian curriculum styles to choose from including workbooks and online.

This curriculum is built with homeschool families in mind and does contain scripture and Bible lessons throughout.

Monarch is their online curriculum and LifePac is the workbook curriculum. Both have their pros and cons depending on how your child likes to learn.

Having used LifePac, I did find it a bit dry for my children and how they like to learn but I’m sure Alpha Omega can be a good fit for many families.

Sonlight

Sonlight is a heavy literature-based curriculum similar to My Father’s World but with a bit more reading. It covers every subject you will need in a beautiful way.

If you and your children love books, this curriculum will be a wonderful fit.

Not super heavy on the scripture but there is Bible written into the lessons.

Sonlight also has a missions-based geography focus which I love, we are a huge geography family here.

The levels or packages are pricy but you can include multiple ages and the book packages are simply amazing.

I order their catalog just for the book recommendations alone, Sonlight is my go-to for good literature.
